My changes are still not complete and ready for posting. In the meantime let try something different. It's March and time for the DJ SHOOTER'S CLUB 80'S MARCH MADESS. It's similar to the NCAA Tounament bracket with song's going head to head to see what the national champion is. There are four catagories with 16 songs in each catagory. View the bracket here.

I have been working on new changes for this site. I'm not exactly sure when these change will occur. I'm shooting for March 17, 2008. Until then, there will not be any updates. I'm sure you will all like the changes that are coming to this club next week.

I would like to let you all know that I've become extremely busy for the next few days. There will be no updates to this site until Monday. See you all then.

Ultimix - As Promised a long time ago in a land far far away

You were all wondering if I was ever going to post the Ultimix of the 80's Mix that I promised a long time ago. Well the wait is over. This is the first mix. Eventually we will reach the end of this 32 issue special.

Now it was not my intent to post them in order so bare with us until the end and you should then have the first 32 issues in their entirety.

We are going to start slow and work our way up to the faster stuff. If you play all these back to back, you should have one long continuous mix. Of course between the mixes you would have to mix them yourself but thats the way it is with limited space.

Partout Mix #1

This week, and next, I'm going to post some great mixes that I found over the holidays. I found these in one of the newsgroups that I check out everyday for new and old remixes that I am currently missing. This series of mixes caught my eye and ear and thought I would share them with you all to get you back to visiting my site since I was gone for a long time.

The series of mixes is called the Partout Mix. I don't know who made them or the origin of these mixes but it is like a journey through House Music. A txt file came with these mixes and at the beginning was a message that states "Discotheque Partout was the place to be in Oosterhout (nbr) in de jaren 80. Geopend in 1983 en ergens midden jaren 90 definitief gesloten. In de periode 1986 t/m 1990 was ik op de vrijdagavond de vaste DJ. Mijn grootste hobby toen en nog steeds is het mixen van destijds vinyl platen en nu digitale tracks uit de jaren 80." I don't understand the language so if someone could let me know what that means, please contact me.

Lack of posting?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

I deeply apologize for the lack of postings as of late. Work has got me swamped to get some projects out by the end of the year. No new post until Jan 1, 2008. That is when I will swamp you with Ulitmix (this will include all the released in the 80's from Issue #1 to Issue #32) Talk to you then.

Again sorry for the lack of post I've been working 80 hour weeks to finalize some project for the end of the year.

This weekend I am going to make 5 new mixes for you all. A while back I mentioned I will put together some ULTIMIX mixes. That is what next week will be. It'll include songs that Ultimix released in the 80's that are now no longer commercially available. Check back on Monday for your chance to get some of these rare remixes when Ultimix was actually good.

I guess from my last post I stepped on the feet of the great gentlemen at Culture Shock. Would you all please forgive me. I have decided to take down the "Hit AC Mix" and I will never post a commercially available release from them again.

Also I would like you all to check them out for yourself. Go to the main Culture Shock page. You can also check them out on their MySpace page. PURCHASE THEIR STUFF. I know I will.

I also am entitled to give credit where credit is due. The Random 80's Mixes below are also from the Myspace page of Culture Shock. I downloaded these last month and just forgot were I got them. Thanks to all for refreshing my memory.

The HIT A/C Megamix Part 7

I just downloaded volume 16 of Culture Shock. This is a Remix service that started in 1998 and produces DJ friendly remixes of modern rock and alternative songs that I would have otherwise overlooked since that genre is so hard to mix. They do a great job with these.

Today I chose to post the Hit "AC" Megamix Part 7 from volume 16. Yes, I know, it's not 80's but this is a great megamix.

Again, I'm sorry for the lack of posts as of late. If you read regularly, I've been busy with football practice and work. Our football team is now 1-5 (our kids don't know how to block). My son however ran 60 yards for a touchdown on Saturday. Not bad for a 3rd grader.

Anyway, I didn't want to keep you waiting much longer for a new mix so here is a new mix for you all. I found this one somewhere on the internet. I like it so much that I'm putting up on my blog. Hope you all like it also.

Sorry for the lack of posts

I've been real busy lately with work, coaching my son's football team 3 days a week, my wedding DJ & videography buisness on weekends and the such that I have not had time to create new mixes. Please be patient and new mixes will come shortly.

To let you all know, football is not going to good. Defense is fine but offence does not seem to know how to block and we always get tackled in the backfield!!!! This really ticks me off. Everyday at practice we emphisize block, block, block, block. They do fine during a scrimmage and we can get some yardage. Come game time, they look like they don't know what they are doing. It is just frustrating. Because of the lack of blocking we are now winless after three games and only 5 more to go. Looks like our playoff hopes are dashed if we don't win next week after our Bye week.
